What this service is
This website publishes homeowner guidance about attic insulation and collects estimate requests for attic insulation work.
The contract is with the contractor
Any inspection, recommendation, scope of work, price, schedule, product choice, warranty, contract and the work itself are between you and the contractor. This website is not a party to that agreement and has no authority to commit anyone to it.
Submitting a request does not create a contract with anyone, does not book a visit, and does not oblige any contractor to accept the job.
Information on this site is general
The guidance here describes how attic insulation projects generally work and what authoritative sources say. It is:
- not an inspection of your property
- not a recommendation for your specific attic
- not a price or an estimate
- not legal advice about codes, permits or contracts
- not medical or health advice of any kind
Where a source is cited, it is cited for what it actually supports, and its limitations are stated alongside it. Sources are checked on the dates shown and may change afterwards.
Any question about a specific property needs someone standing in the attic. Any question about what a code requires needs the authority having jurisdiction.
Safety
Some material on this site describes conditions that are hazardous to disturb — suspected asbestos-containing vermiculite, damaged wiring, flues and heat- producing fixtures, and contaminated insulation among them. Nothing here is an instruction to do that work yourself, and it should not be read as one.

The site is provided as it is. No warranty is given that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every piece of information is complete or current.
No warranty is given on any work performed by any contractor. Warranties on the work come from the contractor; warranties on materials come from the manufacturer.
No representation is made about any contractor's licensing, insurance, qualifications, availability or performance. Verify those directly with the contractor and with the issuing body.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from use of this site or from any dealing with a contractor introduced through it, including work performed, work not performed, delays, pricing or property damage.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

- Verify a contractor's credentials before engaging them
- Read any contract before signing it
- Do not use the form for spam, automated submission, or requests you are not entitled to make
